Sarge’s runs a volunteer and foster program that encompasses both the Sarge’s Adoption Center, and the Haywood County Animal Shelter. We also have volunteers that work at PetSmart in Waynesville, providing enrichment, and cleaning the cages of the cats there.
We have various opportunities available for getting involved. At orientation, we will discuss the different roles filled by volunteers, safety precautions, training opportunities, and sign the legal paperwork needed. After this, you will get the behind-the-scenes tour of the new animal shelter.
*Most of our training classes are open to the public, and you can go ahead and sign up for them by going to sargeanimals.org/events
