2023 Furrst Responder Hero Calendar
Nominate a Haywood County First Responder Today for the 2023 Furrst Responder Hero Calendar
These 12 heroes will be selected by nominations and voting. The process will allow nominations and voting via social media, Sarge’s website and in-person. The nominations will include a picture and a short story as to why that first responder is a hero. Any first responder* hero that works in Haywood County will be eligible to be nominated. When the voting ends, a photographer will take a picture of the Hero and a Sarge's animal at a donor's place of business for the calendar.
Nominations will be accepted from September 23 through October 13 at midnight. Then voting will be from October 14 until the 28th at midnight. Nominations and voting can take place on Sarge's website or in person at Sarge's at 256B Industrial Park Drive in Waynesville during open hours.
Starting in November, the calendars will be sold at Sarge's, the donors' places of business and at other vendors across Haywood County.
*the term “first responder” includes a firefighter, law enforcement officer, paramedic, emergency medical technician or other individual or employee of a legally organized and recognized volunteer organization [whether compensated or not] who responds to fire, medical, hazardous material or other similar emergencies in the course of his or her professional duties.
